All one-day tasks take place on Sundays: meet by the Malt Shovels pub, Stamford Street, Altrincham at 9.30 a.m. unless otherwise arranged. If you want to come on a task PLEASE CONTACT THE LEADER to say so, and to agree details (there may be a last-minute change). If you wish you can arrange with the leader to make your own way to a worksite and meet us there. Ordnance Survey grid references are given where possible.

Fallowfield Loop (SJ829936). We will be carrying out some clearing and coppicing on part of this walking and cycling route across south Manchester, which follows the path of a disused railway line and is part of the National Cycle Network. The path is a haven for wildlife, and our work today will aim to continue to enhance its biodiversity. Leader: Julian (07957 355468).

Middlewood Way (SJ942826). This popular walking and riding route follows the line of the former Macclesfield, Bollington and Marple Railway, and on this task we'll be working with the Cheshire East Rangers to do some essential revetment work. Leader: Sandra (0161 928 3977 or 07973 410340).

Reddish Vale Country Park (SJ901912). The Country Park contains a variety of habitats, including a heathland area important for wildlife, which we’ll be helping to maintain by working with the rangers to remove encroaching scrub. Leader: Peter (07551 645534).

Alderley Edge (SJ861779). This is the first of two tasks on this programme at this site, working for the National Trust. We’ll be doing some constructional work, helping to refurbish a long set of steps near Castle Rock. Leader: Gary (07768 278371).

Residential weekend in Peak District National Park. This is the first of our two residential weekends in the year, when as usual we’ll be working for the Peak District Rangers on Saturday and Sunday and staying in Brunt’s Barn near Grindleford.
